We are leaving Lima, Peru after six years.  My last day in the office was Friday, June 22, 2002.  I'm leaving for Washington tomorrow night.  Annie and the kids will follow in a week.  There are many things I could write about our experience here.  We are leaving with a very Peruvian flavor to our family.  Our youngest child, Justin, was born here in 1997.  Jackson (9) and Dominique (11) spent most of their lives here and have many friends they are going to miss. Annie has established her network of friends and contacts.  Life is good in Lima.

I am going to put photos here from our years in Peru with an explanation of each.  This will be a work in progress.  I will add to it from time to time.  At some point, I'll start a photo album on the next phase in our lives --- Nicaragua.

In November, like most of my classmates, I will turn 50.  Heminway wrote a novel at 50, "Green Hills of Aftrica" and lamented on having lived half a  and how perhaps the best years were gone.  Not true.  I see the very best years ahead.
